Is Miamiragdolls a Tica Registered Cattery?

AbsOLUTELY! MIAMIRAGDOLLS IS A TICA REGISTERED CATTERY, (CATTERY #38496) AND IS IN GOOD STANDINg.

What is Tica?

Tica stands for the international cat association & is the world’s largest genetic registry of pedigreed cats, the largest registry of household pet cats and kittens.

Do you have kittens that I can buy and take home right now?

as of 11/12/2023 we do! but the answer is Usually no. most kittens are typically sold out by the time they are born. we encourage our clients to get on the kitty waiting list. when reserving a future kitten clients can expect a lower price!

Why should I reserve a Ragdoll kitten that isn't even born yet?

Believe it or not, reserving kittens while the Queen (mother cat) is still pregnant is common practice for cat breeders. Clients typically reserve Kittens way in advance to lock in their kitten at the best price! kittens are usually all sold out by the time they are born. if not shortly thereafter.

How do I reserve a Ragdoll kitten?

To reserve a kitten (under 4 weeks old), you can leave a $100 deposit via paypal or zelle. once the deposit is received, I will then place you on my Kitty List. for kittens over 4 weeks old, the deposit is $500.

Is the $100 deposit refundable?

absolutely! the deposit is refundable until the kitten is 4 weeks old. After the 4 weeks, the deposit is no longer refundable, but it is transferable.

What's a kitty List?

The kitty list is where I jot down everyone that has given a deposit and has reserved a Ragdoll kitten. The order on the list is determined by our clients and what pick # they want to be. The first person on the list gets first pick and so on. therefore, if you want a specific gender, color, or pattern, the higher you get on the list the better.

Why is it important to get on the kitty list ASAP?

The sooner you get on the kitty list, and the higher up you are, the more kittens you will have to choose from, and the less likely the chance that there won’t be enough kittens in the present litter for you. For example, you may be reserving a kitten from a litter that isn’t born yet. once the kittens are born the litter may only have 4 kittens, but you chose to reserve pick #5 on the kitty list, this would mean you wouldn’t get a kitten from this litter and your deposit would be returned. Remember the list fills up fast!!

Do the Ragdoll kittens have champion Bloodlines?

Yes! my kittens have an excellent bloodline. the kittens have multiple Champions, double grand Champions, and supreme grand Champions in their 5 generation pedigrees! this is important because it all but guarantees our kittens will grow up to have all of the beautiful physical traits and most importantly, the distinct personality traits that ragdolls are so sought out for. we have all the documentation and take the time to educate our clients on how to undrestand the paperwork so they can distinguish for themselves between a great ragdoll and an unremarkable one.

Are the Ragdoll kittens Tica Registered?

Yes. the kittens are Tica registered. In other words, they come with papers.

At what age can I take my Ragdoll kitten home?

Kittens will be able to go to their forever homes at 8-10 weeks old.

Do the Ragdoll kittens come vaccinated & micro-chipped?

Yes, the kittens will come with their first round of vaccines which includes the FVRCP (the “distemper” (panleukopenia), rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus) vaccine. the kittens will also be checked for and be free of parasites, they will be tested for and be free of fiv & leukemia, and they will come micro-chipped.

Will the Ragdoll kittens have a health certificate from a vet?

Yes. the kittens will come with their vet issued certificate of health.

What is HCM & PKD1?

HCm (hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) is the most common form of heart disease in ragdolls. HCM causes the heart walls to thicken which leads to other problems preventing the heart from functioning normally. heart failure may then develop. it is very important to get your kittens from a reputable hcm-free cattery that genetically tests for this gene.

pkd1 (Polycystic kidney disease) is an inherited condition in cats that causes multiple pockets of fluid to form in the kidneys. at first they are very small but they grow larger over time and may eventually lead to kidney failure.

Are your kittens HCM & PKD1 free?

Yes. here at miamiragdolls we genetically test all of our adult breeders for HCM & PKD1. they are all double negative for the both Genes. meaning all of our kittens will also be double negative for Hcm & PKD1.

Do the Ragdolls kittens come with a health guarantee?

Yes. the kittens come with a 1 year health guarantees against genetic or congenital
defects.
